My thoughts at the 1/2 way point.
The White Sox are getting the clutch hitting that was missing in early Spring. This combined with a good starting rotation will add up to a championship in October. The Twins seem always to do damage. Detroit will not be as bad as the first half and will be tough if they get a couple of streaks going. Cleveland should plan for next year, get something for Sabathia.
I like Tampa. Good youth, good farm, good starting pitching. Who have thought I'd be saying this in July. Boston will continue to win. Do not count the Yankees out. Look at last year when everybody counted them out in May.
The A's will give the Angels a ride for the money. The A's, a team I thought was in rebuilding mode, has been kept afloat. This could come down to the last game of the year.
Take your pick in the NL East. I'll go with Philly. I thing Howard will have a break out 2nd half.
Can the Cubs do it? Will the goat make its appearance again? Soriano may return soon. I'm not sure about Zambrano. The Cards seem to do it with mirrors since they have been decimated with the injury bug. They will not have the same bad injuries in the second half, and Duncans done a credible job with a makeshift rotation. Larussa will keep them in the hunt. The couple of series with the cubs will be critical.
I'm not sure about hte NL West. The only team out is Colorado which was my pick in March to win the NL. Arizona should pull through but the winner may only have to play .500.
